Join our Intercruises Operational Team in Portugal and Cape Verde as an Operations Manager, where you'll lead delivery teams and ensure exceptional service for our customers by combining local expertise with regional and global strategy. 

The role will be published until 01.06.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • You'll manage and lead a team of around 14 people across different locations (Portugal Mainland, Azores, Madeira, Cape Verde) ensuring efficient processes through constant collaboration and coordination between team members and manage 28 ports across these regions and 30 different cruise lines. 

  • Distribute and assign tasks related to delivery of Transportation, Staffing and Shorex services, while optimizing cost planning in line with budget requirements.

  • Promote continuous two-way communication with Business Development teams, Operations Hub, Central teams, suppliers and Cruise Lines to ensure seamless operations.

  • Implement and execute innovative and efficient process organization to support operations, managing any delivery challenges or incidents that may interfere with smooth running.

  • You'll provide onsite support for special operations globally, including delivering operations training and audit training when needed.

  • Ensure all services and back-up are loaded correctly and in a timely manner to reach the Invoicing Happy Path, while maintaining adherence to Intercruises' ways of working.

ABOUT YOU

  • You bring relevant experience in the cruise industry with deep knowledge of Turnarounds and Shorex processes and systems.

  • Leadership experience managing operational teams is essential, ideally with experience coordinating team members across multiple locations.

  • You have proven ability to manage budgets, optimize costs, and ensure financial efficiency in operational delivery.

  • Strong relationship-building skills enable you to maintain excellent communication with clients, suppliers, cruise lines, and internal stakeholders.

  • You're highly organized with solid planning capabilities, able to manage multiple projects while adapting quickly to changes and last-minute requests.

  • Problem-solving comes naturally to you, with analytical skills that help you identify issues, develop solutions, and implement improvement plans for operational challenges.

  • You are willing to travel to the destinations frequently 
  • You are a fluent Portuguese and English speaker 
  • You need a driving license
