As a Senior Software Tester you will work with the Test Manager to drive a consistent and thorough approach to testing within the Customer Domain.  You will be a role model to the testers (Tui and Supplier) working within the Customer Domain to drive good practices and always seek to drive continuous improvements to the testing approach (automation first mentality).  You will work closely with colleagues including product owners, software engineers, data engineers and systems & data analysts to create, deliver and implement industry-leading customer service solutions and innovations for the world’s biggest leisure travel company.

 

The Customer Service Technology team has a commitment to deliver a Global Customer Service Platform for all markets across the Group. The transformation and development of C4C along with numerous integrations is ever increasing and the ability to automate its processes and complete the roll out to all countries is key to its success. You’ll be joining an established team to develop industry leading solutions to meet business needs.

 

We are headquartered in Germany, with an international office network in London, Luton, Hanover, Porto and Berlin to mention few. This role will be part of our test team in our Wigmore House, Luton.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic our ways of working are a bit different just now with most of our colleagues working from home all the time.  Most colleagues worked from home at least a couple of days a week before the current situation, as looking after our colleague’s welfare is important to us.  However, it’s very likely this role will begin with you being based at home, there will be lots of opportunities to connect with your colleagues via technology, and when we can get together face-to-face, we will.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

As a Senior Tester you will lead and mentor test teams to drive continuous learning and improvements. You will bring industry best practice in testing to contribute to team efficiency, drive automated testing wherever possible and continually improve product quality.

 

We are looking for agile-minded, innovate thinker with “can do” approach – strong collaboration and communication skills, emotionally resilient with ability to thrive under pressure in fast -paced environment. You will have strong commercial awareness and leadership potential.

 

You will be able to perform all forms of testing (System, SIT, Continuous Integration Testing, Smoke test and Regression) in a dynamic and agile environment with continuous integration and deployment of new releases. Write detailed defect descriptions and work with developers and Scrum Masters to prioritize and assign bugs depending on the business impact and severity of the issues found and the impact on the project timelines.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Ability to perform all forms of automated testing (System, SIT, Continuous Integration Testing, Smoke test and Regression) in a dynamic and agile environment with continuous integration and deployment of new releases.
  • Agile-minded, innovate thinker with “can do” approach – strong collaboration and communication skills, emotionally resilient with ability to thrive under pressure in fast -paced environment. You will have strong commercial awareness and leadership potential.
  • Experience in testing C4C, TIBCO, AWS technologies, data integrations and front-end solutions in a large multi geography environment
  • Proven record - hands on testing in manual, automation and API (restful services) areas – your technical skills will be assessed as part of recruitment process in mentioned areas
  • Basic knowledge of C4C is desirable
  • Strong knowledge and experience in test tools:
    • CI/CD tools
    • Postman or similar tool for API testing
    • Swagger
    • JMeter
  • Testing Qualifications, in particular ISTQB Foundation, are highly desirable.
  • Experience with Atlassian stack (for defect management, agile Sprint and task management and requirements / story management)
  • Experience in testing within an Agile/scrum framework
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adapt to the environment and project challenges
  • Ability to manage issues and communicate and escalate appropriately and effectively
  • Good communications and influencing skills, with the ability to explain technologies and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Passion for great technology and user experience
