ABOUT THE JOB

• PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
  • Scout for new project opportunities in priority destinations ensuring strong alignment with the foundation´s 2030 Impact Strategy
  • Identify potential areas of engagement and develop innovative projects in destinations
  • Shape project proposals according to TUI Care Foundation´s strategy in close collaboration with partner organisations
  • Support partner organisations especially with tourism related expertise
  • Identify and involve relevant internal and external partners in the destinations to improve project designs and outcomes 
  • Be a trusted confidant and a recognized subject matter expert on the social and economic programmes of the foundation 
  • Negotiate partnership agreements and contracts with project partners
  • Closely monitor project development on a regular basis and provide regular status updates
• STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS & INITIATIVES 
  • Develop and manage key partnerships of TUI Care Foundation, in particular with international organisations and NGOs
  • Lead key strategic initiatives of the foundation 
  • Ensure close alignment between TUI Care  and partners in selected focus destination 
• FUNDING 
  • Build and expand relationships with institutional donors and other players in the field of development cooperation
  • Identify and realize (co-) financing opportunities with institutional donors and other financing partners
  • Engage with relevant local stakeholders to drive opportunities to raise funds for for TUI Care Foundation projects in Least Developed Countries in particular

ABOUT YOU

• A significant number of years’ experience in a (corporate) foundation / NGO or international organisation – preferably in the tourism sector
• Solid experience of working in international contexts
• Solid experience in project development 
• Experience of working with corporate partners as well as NGOs
• A proven track record in securing institutional grants in the context of development cooperation
• A proven track record in providing strategic counsel/reputational advice
• Experience of managing relationships with external stakeholders, including journalists and political stakeholders
• Comprehensive understanding of the way a (corporate) foundation, NGO or international organisation operates
• Evidence of personal success in managing projects across multiple countries
• Strong evidence of creativity in the use of communications to enhance awareness for the work of an NGO or foundation and/ or to build corporate reputation
• Ability to build excellent relationships and the dexterity to operate in a complex matrix environment 
• Knowledge of stakeholder mapping and engagement
• Fluent English essential. Spanish and German desired
• Excellent planning, management and organisation skills
• Analytical skills
• Influencing and negotiation skills
