As Senior Material Supplier based in our Line Station in Gatwick,  you will provide full material support in dispatch, goods inspection, picking, tool stores & unserviceable aircraft components. You will also be responsible for the operational support and procurement of aircraft spare parts.

**This role is based at our Line Station in Gatwick, we welcome applications from those that live within a commutable distance.**

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Day-to-day duties such as manual handling, receiving, storing, shipping and controlling. 
  • Operational logistics support, procurement of aircraft spare parts and line materials.
  • Monitoring task progress and taking the necessary actions to deliver in agreed timescales/budgets.
  • Produce AMOS orders in a timely manner and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Challenge internal material requests you feel are inappropriate, incorrect, wasteful or unapproved.  
  • Completing all paperwork in an accurate and timely manner. 
  • Maintain a shift handover log for your area of responsibility, liaise with other departments (e.g. outside agencies, airport authorities, Maintrol etc.). 
  • Ensure service level agreements (SLA’s) are met.
  • Ensure loans and exchanges are effectively managed and surplus/waste is minimised. 
  • Operate company vehicles and forklift

 

ABOUT YOU

  • Aviation background or equivalent with supply chain experience in stores and procurement.   
  • Strong IT skills and knowledge of engineering systems (AMOS)
  • A good working knowledge and experience in raising purchase orders, invoicing principles, goods receipt, despatch, inventory management and regular handling of local store audits.
  • Ability to work well in a team and on own initiative. Self-motivating and self-monitored.   
  • Demonstrate self-confidence and the ability to present at all levels across a wide engineering organization
  • Cost Control, Compliance, Process efficiency and Procedure adherence are key attributes for the Role.
  • Flexibility to work a roster that includes working unsocial hours as well as travelling to support the operation.
