
Senior Material Supplier
Gatwick, GB
Based in at our Hangar facility line station in Gatwick, as Senior Material Supplier you will provide full stores & material support to production areas including Maintrol, Line Maintenance, Base Maintenance, Workshops and liaise with external suppliers. You will also be responsible for the operational support and procurement of aircraft spare parts.
This is a role that requires you to work a varying shift pattern which may temporarily divert from the normal 4 day on 4 off rotation to meet operational requirements.

ABOUT THE JOB
- Manage the line stores by taking responsibility for all activities, including receiving, storing, monitoring, stockkeeping and dispatching among other duties during your shift.
- Tracing and tracking of in- and out- on-going shipments and expediting the delivery of parts into the repair shops or to other stations.
- Coordination of case-to-case logistical activities worldwide, monitoring task progress and taking the necessary action to deliver in agreed timescales/budgets, completing all paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
- Maintain a shift handover log for your designated area at the end of each day and liaise with other departments as necessary (e.g., outside agencies, airport authorities, Maintrol etc.)
- Facilitation of the performance management of strategic suppliers ensuring service level agreements (SLA’s) are met.
- Forward provisioning of materials to meet business needs, ensure ‘loans-in’ are effectively managed and the exposure to surplus/waste is minimised.
- Liaising with the engineering community to develop provisioning models, supporting, and participating in tendering/contract development project work.
- Willing to travel to support the operational support of the engineering organisation and may act up to Duty Material Supplier as requested within agreed levels of authority.
- Required to work rosters which may include unsocial hours.
ABOUT YOU
- Aviation background with supply chain experience, including stores and, procurement & tendering experience.
- Strong IT skills and previous experience with knowledge of engineering systems AMOS is an advantage.
- Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate self-confidence and the ability to present at all levels across a wide engineering organisation.
- Willing to travel to support the operational support of the engineering organisation.
- Ability to work on a 4day on, 4day off roster which may include unsocial hours.
- Availability to work paid overtime to cover for colleagues.
- Able to provide a clean- record and hold a valid driver’s license.
