We're looking for a Flight Market Research Manager to conduct comprehensive research and analysis that supports strategic decision-making across our flight portfolio, product, and ancillaries, helping us make informed choices regarding route development, pricing strategies, and purchasing opportunities.

ABOUT THE JOB

 

  • You'll conduct in-depth research on global flight markets, industry trends, and passenger demographics to provide valuable market intelligence and trend analysis to stakeholders.
  • You’ll monitor competitor activities across routes, analyzing fare structures, schedule changes, and promotional campaigns to maintain TUI's competitive positioning.
  • Screen capacity developments from airlines across markets and provide to Analytics function within Core services.
  • We'll count on you to screen and forecast capacity needs by monitoring airline schedule changes, new route announcements, and market developments to provide insights to our Analytics teams.
  • Conducting competitor analysis will be essential as you evaluate offerings, pricing models, route networks, and market positioning to identify competitive advantages and areas for improvement.
  • You'll provide data-driven recommendations for route development and optimisation, suggesting pricing strategies and identifying opportunities to enhance customer experience.
  • You’ll develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports tracking key performance indicators including route developments, airline flight plan analysis, capacity reports over all airports and markets.
  • Collaborating with data analysts will help you interpret performance metrics and translate complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Designing and implementing research methodologies will address specific business questions and support strategic decision-making across the organisation.

 

ABOUT YOU

 

  • You have experience in market research, ideally within the airline or travel sector.
  • Your quantitative and qualitative analysis abilities enable you to work with large datasets and derive meaningful insights.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, SPSS, Tableau, or equivalent analytics software supports your analytical work.
  • Knowledge of the global aviation market and airline industry dynamics provides context for your research.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities help you tackle complex challenges effectively.
  • Communication abilities with capacity to present complex data clearly ensure your insights are understood by stakeholders.
  • Experience in designing and implementing research methodologies demonstrates your research expertise.
  • You work effectively with key stakeholders including commercial teams, analytics functions, and product development teams.
