ABOUT THE JOB
- Creating and developing innovative and seasonal dessert menus, ensuring they align with the establishment's brand and target audience.
- Developing, testing, and refining recipes for all pastry items, ensuring consistency and high quality.
- Overseeing the daily production of all pastry items, including breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts, ensuring they meet established standards.
- Training and supervising a team of pastry chefs and cooks, providing guidance and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Managing inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
- Monitoring and controlling costs related to pastry production, including food costs, labor costs, and supply costs.
- Ensuring all pastry operations adhere to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborating with other chefs and departments to coordinate menu planning and ensure smooth operation of the pastry department.
- Ensuring all pastry items meet the establishment's quality standards for taste, appearance, and presentation.
- Staying up to date on the latest trends and techniques in pastry arts and developing new and exciting desserts.
ABOUT YOU
- Previous experience working within a fast- paced 5* hotel environment with knowledge Pastry and bakery.
- Strong motivational skills and ability to successfully lead a diverse and cohesive team.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Polite, pleasant demeanour with a neat appearance.
- Possesses creativity, professionalism, and human management capabilities.
- Capable of handling pressure and resolving restaurant issues.
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks such as cost management while maintaining operational standards.
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, expenses.
- High ethical standards and integrity.
- Strategic thinking and planning capabilities.
