You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and services of the laundry department, ensuring all linen and other fabrics are cleaned, maintained, and supplied efficiently and hygienically. They are responsible for managing staff, ensuring quality standards, inventory control, budgeting, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

 

This role is open to international (expat) applications.

ABOUT THE JOB
•    Overseeing all aspects of laundry processing, from sorting and washing to drying, ironing, folding, and delivering linens and other fabrics. 
•    Supervising, training, and evaluating laundry staff, ensuring productivity, and addressing any issues. 
•    Implementing and maintaining quality control measures to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and proper presentation of linens. 
•    Monitoring inventory levels of linens, supplies, and chemicals, coordinating with purchasing departments to ensure adequate stock. 
•    Developing and managing the laundry department budget, controlling costs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. 
•    Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as environmental and industry standards. 
•    Monitoring and maintaining laundry equipment, scheduling repairs and servicing to minimize downtime. 
•    Collaborating with other departments, such as housekeeping, to meet their laundry needs. 
•    Handling guest inquiries and complaints related to laundry services. 
•    Providing ongoing training to laundry staff on proper laundering techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures. 
•    Preparing reports on laundry productivity, inventory management, and staff performance.

 

ABOUT YOU
•    Excellent verbal and written English are required. Other European languages would be highly desirable. 
•    Strong leadership and great training skills
•    Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
•    Self-discipline, initiative, and leadership ability.
•    Strong organizational and leadership skills.
•    Knowledge of industrial laundry equipment and processes.
•    Ability to manage a team and delegate tasks effectively.

•    Familiarity with inventory management and budgeting.
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 
•    Manage organization and cleanliness of departmental areas by conducting weekly walk through with Hygiene Manager, Housekeeping and Engineering Department.
•    Conduct MOD shift and experience the hotel from the eyes of the Hotel residents.
