Lead the planning, preparation, supervision and continuous improvement of port and shore excursion operations across assigned destinations/ports, coordinating teams, agents and suppliers to deliver safe, seamless and high-quality services that meet cruise client requirements, drive profitability and support business growth.
This is a locally employed position. You must have the right to live and work in Greece before applying.

ABOUT THE JOB
- Plan and deliver all port operations (shore excursions/turnarounds) within the assigned ports/region, ensuring service levels and client agreements are met.
- Coordinate and lead local operations teams (team leaders, agents and seasonal/casual staff); set objectives, coach performance, and ensure recruitment and training readiness for each season.
- Standardize ways of working across destinations and ensure teams have strong operational and product knowledge to consistently deliver the highest service standards.
- Manage planning and resource allocation (current and future needs), including dispatch organization and supplier selection (transport, guides) to optimize profitability per call.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cruise clients, port/destination representatives, suppliers and authorities; act as an out-of-hours contact as required.
- Coordinate with Supply and Commercial teams on pricing, proposals and new product development; provide operational feedback and support bids and implementation activities.
- Ensure operations changes at the pier are managed to the detail and suppliers receive last minute changes or requests.
- Ensure accurate and timely administration (post-operation documentation, data loading, invoicing closure) and prompt follow-up on operational issues, complaints and corrective actions.
- Provide hands-on operational support during peak/congested dates, disruptions (e.g., strikes) and emergencies, including travel to destinations when needed.
ABOUT YOU
- Proven experience in customer-focused operations/destination management, ideally within the cruise or port services environment.
- Strong people leadership skills: able to plan resources, motivate teams, manage performance, and deliver results through others.
- Commercial awareness and analytical approach to balance service quality, product innovation and cost effectiveness (profitability per call, margins, OKRs/action plans).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; able to build relationships with cruise clients, suppliers, authorities and internal teams.
- Resilient and adaptable problem solver, comfortable leading change and providing hands-on support during disruptions and peak operations.
