
R2R Finance Team Lead

Joining our TUI Global Business Services (TGBS) Team, you will be part of the Global Finance Business Services' centralisation strategy, working closely with a multicultural team.
Within this role you will manage a team of 5 to 10 members, ensure the adequate accounting of the assigned entities, support financial controls and providing timely, comprehensive and accurate financial information to the business, in accordance with existing policies.

ABOUT THE JOB
- Assist the R2R Manager with ensuring the financial integrity of the TUI legal entities executing GL account closing transactions and COSO report
- Manage and control journal entries, balance sheets, reconciliations, and other relevant accounting topics in compliance with legislation
- Ensure that intercompany accounts are fully reconciled on a timely basis work across departments
- Oversee all intercompany transactions and processes as well as completeness and accuracy of intercompany accounts
- Liaise with R2R Manager to respond external and internal audits and support the production of Annual Accounts for the different entities under control
- Further, you will make sure that the Internal Audit requirements are followed in your daily work
- Produce statutory reports including Year to Date with analysis and comments to ensure completeness of the data presented
- Identify potential risks and opportunities for the assigned entities
- Maintain the financial control procedures and process documents.
- Manage the end-to-end process and focus on identifying and executing improvements to the business
- You will have the opportunity to work on several Group projects focused on the resources and systems optimization
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and coordinate daily work of the team members to ensure the objectives set are achieved.
- Your responsibilities will also include recruiting and onboarding new hires as well as providing training and ongoing development, support and performance management tasks.
Collaboration & Support
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers ensuring effective communication.
- Giving support to R2R Manager, R2R team leaders, Finance Managers and other stakeholders within the organization.
ABOUT YOU
Education/Studies
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related Finance (e.g. Accounting, Business Administration, or similar)
- Advanced level of English, both written and verbal. Additional language skills are advantageous, and in some cases Spanish/German B1 level may be required.
Professional Experience
- Previous experience in a Finance position, understanding of finance processes and procedures
- Experience leading a team of people is advantageous
System Knowledge
- Proficient user of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Previous experience in other systems such as SAP, Dynamics, Asterix, Oracle is advantageous.
Skills and Competencies
- Communication and influencing skills: ability to develop great working relationships internally and externally
- Time management skills: someone with a methodical and organized approach towards the execution of the assigned tasks and experience working in a fast-paced multi-channel environment. Ability to work on own initiative and manage workload
- Good analytical thinking skills, proven numeric skills and financial acumen
- Ability to work in a multinational team environment. Previous exposure in a Shared Service Centre environment will be highly advantageous
