As Team Lead TUI Fly Nordic Crew Office you will lead, support, and manage the team responsible for crewing for the TUI Fly Nordic operations whilst developing and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders within other areas in the TUI Group The role’s primary responsibility is to ensure the safe, compliant and on time delivery of the TUI Fly Nordic flight operations by ensuring we have crew resource in the right place at the right time. You will also be responsible for delivering against KPIs set out by TUI Airline in terms of crew utilization, cost controls and logistics to ensure a safe, efficient and compliant crew delivery function.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Ensuring safe, efficient and compliant crewing and logistics in accordance with all TUI operations manuals and operations planning and logistics procedures.
  • Ensure crew resources are adequate to fulfil the commercial schedule, highlighting any shortfall or risks within the delivery of the commercial schedule.
  • Ensures compliance with flight time limitations as approved by EASA and the Swedish CAA.
  • You will monitor the flight programme of TUI Fly Nordic and ensure complete flight coverage, operational flexibility and cost saving opportunities
  • Monthly monitoring and reporting of Key Performance Indicators to determine roster quality, productivity, cost and other indicative measures as required by the business.
  • You will inform the TOCC Crew Control Manager about trends and difficulties experienced in the day-to-day crewing on a proactive basis and make recommendations to improve the crewing policy and processes.
  • Closely working together with the TOCC Crew Control Manager, you will actively assist and support the design, implementation and coordination of activities striving towards the development, implementation and maintenance of a continuous improvement strategy linked to the efficient scheduling of crew within the Airline, delivering a sustainable culture of effectiveness and innovation with a customer-oriented mindset
  • Ensuring that any policy and procedures pertaining to crewing and logistics recommended by the stakeholders of the TUI Group, shall comply with the applicable Swedish regulations.
  • Maintain an up-to-date operations planning and logistics manuals, for approval by the nominated person flight operations.
  • Suggest improvements to day to day operations of crewingg via the flight operations management meetings and flight operations safety action groups.
  • Ensuring the crewing resources are sufficient to meet the demands of the operation, both in AOC and within the TUI Group
  • You will effectively lead, motivate and develop your team of Crew officers on a daily basis to increase operational excellence in their ways of working, to aim for the optimal and equal distribution of duties amongst flight crew and cabin crew within the agreed timeframes, while ensuring that all CLA’s and legal regulations (OM A Ch. 7, social labour law, training and license expiries,..) are respected. By doing so, you will ensure consistently high levels of performance and provide a customer centric approach towards all key stakeholders (pilots, cabin crew, customers, …) and ensure a harmonized production capacity planning. '
  • By influencing, leading and coaching your own team to do the same, you will create and foster a culture of innovation, in an environment that requires high levels of scalability, security and reliability.
  • Working closely with other Crewing Team Leaders to ensure an integrated and collaborative approach to rostering optimisation, operational flexibility, cost saving initiatives, process analysis and improvement
  • Engage, build and maintain a cooperative, trusting and sustainable relation with your key stakeholders crossfunctional (Crew Unions, HR, TOCC teams, Cabin crew and Flight Crew Management, Training Management, Social Partners ..) to drive an effective partnership approach
  • As SME, you will be accountable for regulatory compliance, internal and external audit delivery of flight crew and cabin crew training records and documentation
  • Ensuring that the Procedures Operations Manuals and Departmental Handbook accurately reflect the policy and procedures in place. Ensure regular review and updates in line with departmental changes and compliance with the Departmental Quality System

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

  • You are a subject matter expert in Aviation and ideally Crewing (Sweden) and industry regulations /legislative guidelines and have a solid knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, project and people management
  • You have demonstrated the capability to coach, develop and motivate a team to achieve objectives, deliver the required outputs whilst maintaining the highest customer service levels
  • Have the ability to assess quality of information quickly empowered by strong analytical and investigative skills, focusing on accuracy whilst delivering results.
  • Ability to make decisions in a highly complex and fast-moving operational environment whilst considering future implications as well as evaluating costs and benefits of a decision
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced international environment handling multiple stakeholders and tasks with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and self-driven, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and enjoy working as part of a team
  • Have proven ability to manage time and workloads efficiently, having knowledge of Human factor principles
