Internship - Project Ground Operations 1: Mishandled luggage
Zaventem, BE
Location: Zaventem Contract: Insternship Fulltime / Parttime: Fulltime Hours: 39 |
Enhancing Mishandled Baggage Management Using Data-Driven Solutions
The airline industry operates in a dynamic environment where operational efficiency directly impacts profitability, customer satisfaction, and overall competitiveness.
Among various operational processes, aircraft turnaround is a critical component that significantly influences on-time performance, cost management, and safety standards.
The overall trend in baggage management is getting better, but with passenger numbers increasing the total number of mishandled baggage is rising.
This project aims to analyse and reduce the impact of mishandled baggage on airline operations through a data-driven approach. By leveraging operational data, the project will first assess the root causes, frequency, and operational disruptions caused by baggage mishandling. Based on these insights, a robust framework will be designed and implemented, incorporating traceable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure improvements and ensure long-term efficiency.
