As a Tooling Engineer, you'll be responsible for efficiency and compliance within tooling control, ensuring optimal availability and maintenance of GSE and tooling across the TUI group.

ABOUT THE JOB

  • You'll support the TUI E&M Tooling Engineer and Production Control by ensuring GSE and tooling is correctly maintained and available across the group in accordance with EASA and HSE regulations.
  • Working alongside Supply Chain staff across the 5 TUI airlines, you'll promote tool harmonisation to reduce unnecessary duplication across the group.
  • Timelines for the calibration of tooling and inspections of GSE are agreed with base and line maintenance teams.
  • You'll attend meetings with key tooling & GSE suppliers to review performance and maintain strong partnerships.
  • Supporting the review of quotes and invoices helps agree costs and identify compliance issues.
  • Guidance is provided to purchasing on whether to procure new and/or replacement tooling or GSE.
  • Physical assessment of tooling before shipment to suppliers for repair forms part of your responsibilities.
  • Managing and sourcing local and international tooling/GSE suppliers for products and services for the facilities location across Europe.
  • Reviewing & identifying obsolete tooling and support in the procurement of replacement or new tooling as required.
  • Act as Subject matter expert for the European TUI line/base and outsourced stations.
  • Coordinate and direct the distribution of all tools/GSE including AOG shipments.
  • Assist in internal audits related to tooling and GSE
  • You will be working in shifts: Mon-Fri 06:00 - 14:00 & 14:00 - 22:00.

 

ABOUT YOU

  • You have proven experience in aviation Stores, Tooling & GSE support.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Boeing tooling requirements and Boeing manuals are part of your expertise.
  • Safety requirements around working at height, and equipment maintenance are familiar territory for you.
  • Your IT skills and knowledge of engineering systems are solid and reliable.
  • With effective communication, presentational and negotiation skills, you know how to engage stakeholders.
  • Understanding Human Factors within the maintenance environment comes naturally to you.
  • You've demonstrated capability in performance management and can drive results.
  • Financial and commercial acumen support your decision-making.
